The pumpkin spiced and apple-themed items are back on the Starbucks menu, which means fall has begun. You can customize each of the 34 fall drinks on the menu, and we are here to help you decide how you can do that according to your taste.
We tested all of their fall drinks and are here to rank a few from the worst to the best.
5. Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte
It has the same ingredients as the regular spiced latte, but something about the iced version is quite off-putting. We are assuming that it has something to do with the way the whipped cream melts into the warm latte drink. The iced latte does not allow for that to happen. What’s more, the spices taste even bitterer when they’re cold. We would have ranked it number 34 if we were ranking all the Starbucks drinks.
However, spiced lattes have made it to the Starbucks fall menu the 19th time this season. This means that it does please quite a lot of people.
4. Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato
When you first take a sip, it will probably be very confusing for you. This iced apple crisp macchiato will taste like regular coffee with a hint of burnt spices. Moreover, you may wonder if there’s any flavor of apple as your first sip might not at all be sweet.
After the first sip, we figured the reason for all these issues we faced. The caramel apple goodness sits at the bottom, and the only solution is to give it a good stir. But once you do that, the drink tastes too sweet to be able to finish it.
3. Iced Chai Latte with Pumpkin Cold Foam
Since this drink is so popular on TikTok, we gave it a try. Originally, the iced chai latte came with pumpkin foam. However, there are a number of options available for customization. Most people order it with oat milk as well. It is the ideal fall drink that can suit everyone’s taste. You can ask your barista for fewer pumps of chai and add an espresso shot instead. Or, you can choose to add a topping or pumpkin sauce. Adding apple, brown sugar, and vanilla can also change the game, in a good way, of course.
We rank it a number 3 because this drink is definitely worth ordering again.
2. Pumpkin Spice Blended Frappuccino
The pumpkin spice blended frappuccino is a quite underrated version of the very overrated pumpkin spice latte. However, it is our second favorite fall drink from the Starbucks menu for a reason. It has an entire army of fans and people who try to find its recipes to try at home. We’re sure you may have seen some of those recipes on social media.
While it does contain coffee, frappuccinos can’t really be classified as coffee drinks. They are more like a coffee-inspired version of shakes. You will taste the pumpkin spices in this one too, but just the right amount. You won’t be overwhelmed by the taste of the spices in this one, as opposed to other versions of pumpkin spice lattes.
1. Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
Starbucks’ best fall drink, the pumpkin cream cold brew, was released a few years ago and has been unbeatable since. Although a little expensive, the drink is the perfect mix of coffee and pumpkin spice. The flavor is neither too sweet nor overpowering.
The brew is vanilla syrup flavored, which you can totally skip if you like your coffee drinks without sugar. The cold cream foam perfectly melts into the drink as you sip, and while it tastes fantastic just like that, the hint of pumpkin certainly makes it more enjoyable.
