Harry Potter: How I Feel About It 20 Years Later

It has been 20 years now since a young boy named Harry Potter took us on a magical adventure in Hogwarts. Since then, the fan base of Harry Potter dramatically increased. Still, people can’t stop talking about Harry Potter and the 8 movie series.

The first day of the year 2022 was special for Potterheads as Warner Bros. organized a 20-year reunion special. Harry Potter fans around the world were excited about New Year’s Day, not because it was the start of another year, but because of the reunion.

1.     Every Potter Fan Was Once a Wizard

If you are from the potter generation then you would know what “wingardium leviosa” is. Do you still remember all the magical spells from the potter world? Why wouldn’t you, because the movie was brilliantly designed. People still remember the character and even dialogues. It wouldn’t be wrong if we say that we were all mentally present in the world of Harry Potter.

2.     The Magical Creatures

Do you remember the three-headed dog named Fluffy, the deathly basilisk, and Aragog the spider? All these creatures, beasts, and animals were created to live inside the wizarding world. The way JK Rowling used her imagination to bring creepy and cute creatures alive and connect emotions to them is simply fascinating. Also, a special shout out to Dobby, the free elf.

3.     Hogwarts is More Than a Set

The way Harry Potter fans remember the secret corridors, heritage, and moving staircase is incredible. On the other hand, when we return to the muggle world everything becomes boring. Admit it, you used to love Hogwarts more than your school, don’t you?

4.     The Breadth of Imagination

From the philosopher stone to the Hogwartz’s castle, everything is merely an imagination. But, Rowling took a major part of the series from real life. She turned normal things into a wizarding parallel universe. For instance, she came up with the idea of Quidditch, from a fight with her brother.

5.     It Gave Us Many Lessons

Throughout the movie serial, there are a plethora of lessons that we learn from Harry Potter. There are numerous incidents of bravery from facing bogarts to killing Voldermort. We can find loyalty, intelligence, and friendship. Talking about loyalty, how can we forget Snape’s action? From the start till his death, we used to believe that he is behind the major setbacks in the movies. But the truth was the opposite. In reality, he was protecting Harry Potter. Didn’t you cry when the actual Snape intention was revealed? We all did.

Conclusion

If you grew up along with that 11 year boy and his friends and dreamt about receiving an invitation letter to join Hogwarts then you will feel the same as they did. Even after the second wizard war, the story continues.

It’s true that Thanksgiving looks different for everyone, but everyone has a few thanksgiving routine staples. What are those? Good food, comfortable outfits, partying, and movies/ shows. However, it can be hard to find the best thanksgiving shows or movies. To help you out, we’ve listed some of the best Thanksgiving episodes that you can stream this year.

When it comes to holiday episodes, the most popular ones feature Christmas or Halloween. As a result, a lot of people tend to just watch Christmas movies or shows at thanksgiving dinners to enjoy the festive season. The good news is, many TV shows deserve recognition for the amazing Thanksgiving episodes they have given us. Oh, you’re bored of watching Friends? Let’s have a look at some other binge-worthy thanksgiving episodes.

1.    That 70s Show– Episode 9 of Season 1

The episode is titled ‘Thanksgiving’ and will leave you in awe of how good it is. Moreover, it is noticeable that the episode is part of the very first season. This is great because the first few seasons of ‘That 70s Show’ are special in the sense that the group has just started to grow up and has yet to face the world of grown-up-related problems.

You are going to find this episode very interesting as Laurie creates a weird scenario when she brings her friend Jenny over for thanksgiving dinner. Jenny happens to be really attractive and puts Eric and Donna in a tailspin. What’s more? They all forgot to pick grandma up for dinner!

2.    Fresh Prince of Bel-Air– Episode 11 of Season 1

We agree that the show does not do much for your Thanksgiving but don’t we all love the show? It’s the best thing to make everyone laugh and giggle on cold winter days. Season 1, Episode 11, is titled ‘Talking Turkey’ and is a big one because we get to meet Will’s mom. Isn’t that interesting?

It should be no surprise that once Will’s momma shows up for dinner, it causes quite a scene. While the show is not known for its thanksgiving episode, you will love it. She is frustrated to see the kids not doing anything big to help out during the holidays. As a result, Aunt Viv decides to get all the kids to cook dinner in order to prove that her kids are not spoiled.

3.    New Girl– Episode 8 of Season 2

The eighth episode of the second season of New Girl is titled ‘Parents,’ but how does it make up our list of best Thanksgiving episodes? It’s an incredible holiday episode choice because Jess, who’s awkward enough as it is, has her divorced parents coming over.

What actually happens is that both of Jess’ parents unexpectedly show up for thanksgiving dinner at the same time. While this is funny enough, Jess decides to get them back together only for it not to work out. But in the midst of all this, Nick and Bob sharing theories is the hilarious part.

Conclusion

The above mentioned are our top three thanksgiving episodes apart from ones from ‘Friends’ and other famous TV shows. Anyhow, below is a list of other thanksgiving episodes that are just as good.

  • Gilmore Girls: S3, E9
  • Grey’s Anatomy: S2, E9

The Secret To A Great Dinner Party With Friends

Are you planning a weekend dinner party with your friends? Do you want to be the best host and make the most of a lovely evening? If you’ve hosted dinner parties before, you would agree how hard it is to plan and arrange a blissful night and entertain your guests.

It can be stressful trying to manage everything on your own. You need to clean the house, cook delicious meals, greet your guests warmly, and the list goes on. While setting up, you might not get enough time to relax and give your friends quality time.

Besides, if you want to master the art of hosting a successful dinner party, then don’t fret. We’ll share a few tips on how you can impress your guests without spending the entire evening in the kitchen.

1.     Be Realistic with the Dinner Party Menu

Have you ever come across an interesting dish while browsing social media? While you may be tempted to try something new, keep in mind that it could potentially end up a disaster. After all, trying a completely new dish will take up too much of your time, and you won’t even know what it will end up tasting like. So, why waste your time on something that you are not confident with? If you want to surprise your friends without missing out on spending quality time with them, make something that you are good at.

2.     Maintain the Balance

Suppose you are a good chef and you can skillfully cook 18 different dishes. Even so, try to keep a simple menu. Think about what food items go together. Let’s say you fancy eating quiche along with pie, tart, and pastry. But would all that be good for a dinner with your friends? Nope, this sounds too much stodge, too much pastry. Instead, stick to a single theme, like Spanish, Italian, or Chinese food.

3.     Don’t Surprise Your Friends

You’ll spend a good amount of time working on preparing dinner, so you want to make sure everyone eats it. Your friends may have some dietary restrictions that you should keep in mind while deciding on a menu. You can always go with two courses suitable for the entire group.

4.     Time Management is Imperative

Plan your time, especially if you have more than one meal that requires oven space. The best thing to do is prepare a timesheet and divide sections with starter, main course, and side dishes. Otherwise, time management can be tricky.

5.     Relaxation – That’s All you Want

Obviously, you are hosting a dinner because you want to chill out with your friends. So, make sure that you avoid food that takes up too much time in the kitchen. Once your friends are home, you don’t want to vanish and reappear from time to time, feeling flustered that you can’t spend enough time with your friends. That way, you’ll miss half of the conversation and fun. Instead, arrange everything before everyone starts arriving and get dressed. You don’t want to get yourself covered up in the food while your friends look dressed up.

Conclusion

Nothing is better than inviting your friends for dinner at home. It’s a lot of fun to relax with your friends, watch Netflix, and have some unforgettable moments at the dining table. But, keep in mind to have a great time with your friends, you need to manage everything in a reasonable time frame and have a memorable night with your buddies.

This is easy through several weather Apps. However, get the intended area’s weather forecast from the most reliable source. Never camp without umbrellas, rain pants, gloves, etc.

Have the Right Food Supplies
